Mark Saunders, Manager of Ocean Ridge Plantation Golf, announced today that the Ocean Ridge Golf Club will be undertaking an exciting improvement project this summer: Replacement of all the greens on Tiger’s Eye Golf Links! The current greens will be exchanged with brand new TifEagle™ Bermuda grass putting surfaces. This is the same grass used for the recent renovation of the greens at TPC Sawgrass – home of The PGA Tour’s Players Championship Tournament.
The highly acclaimed Tiger’s Eye Golf Links, in Ocean Isle Beach, NC, consistently ranked among GOLF® Magazine’s “Top Courses You Can Play” in the state, is temporarily closing to replace all of its greens. Saunders said, “To complete this exciting capital improvement project, Tiger’s Eye will temporarily be closed for approximately 8 weeks, beginning on July 24, 2017, and will reopen with a refreshed appearance and first rate putting surfaces for our members and guests to enjoy for many years to come.”
New greens are part of a number of enhancements proposed for the Ocean Ridge Golf Club and the community. Mark Saunders and Ocean Ridge Plantation Golf are committed to providing property owners, members and guests with a quality experience and offering. His vision is to work with the Ocean Ridge Master Association and property owners to promote a shared interest of ensuring Ocean Ridge continues to be the premier place to live and visit in the southeast. Our community is coastal Carolina living at its best, which is why it was named “One of the Top 100 Communities in America” by Living Southern Style and Where to Retire magazines.
