The Plantation Gardens
Our commitment to living harmoniously with the natural coastal Carolina environment stands strong. Rich woodlands dotted with rare native orchids surround the plantation, and within the community, we have designated over 300 acres of nature preserve. Once flourishing farmland, today charming, tilled and irrigated garden plots for the exclusive enjoyment of property owners are the focal point of the community gardens. Each owner can grow their own herbs, vegetables, and flowers. The breathtaking beauty of this garden is hard to miss.
The sampling of fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers planted in the community garden include:
- potatoes
- cucumbers
- yellow squash
- tomatoes
- green peppers
- grapes
- blueberries
- fruit trees, including plumb, pears, apples, peaches, nectarines
A perennial garden includes an herb garden, wax myrtle, and rose bushes.
